The National Business Excellence Awards 2016 (NBEA) will be held on November 30, 2016. The event will be held at the Colombo Hilton for the 13th consecutive year.
National Chamber of Commerce Immediate Past President and NBEA Steering Committee Chairman, Sunil G.Wijesinha told the Daily News Business that the NBEA is ready to host more than 200 applications this year.
NBEA 2015 has been able to draw close 200 applications last year. However at the moment, NBEA has received nearly 100 applications and is likely to surpass the amount last year.
Wijesinha said the NBEA awards is not about winning but about creating the necessary requirements needed for winning in the business corporates of Sri Lanka, thereby enhancing the quality of its products and services.
Business enterprises participating in the competition will be evaluated under a newly structured Evaluation mode of 7 perspectives, which are - Excellence in Leadership, Excellence in Corporate Governance, Excellence in Capacity Building, Excellence in Performance-Management, Excellence in Local and Global Market Reach, Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Sustainability and Excellence in Business and Financial Results.
NBEA is an unique national awards scheme as it evaluates the overall performance of a company and selects the cream of business in the country for awards.
Being one of the pioneering, Awards Competitions started as way back as 2004, by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, the National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA), over the years, has maintained its high standard at the top and has gained much recognition and prestige among the business community as a well structured Awards Scheme and has become today the symbol of Excellence’ for the best of the best businesses in Sri Lanka.
