Wife of CEB worker who died while on disaster relief work rewarded

Power and renewable Energy Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya has taken measures to provide a permanent job opportunity at the CEB to the wife of the CEB worker who died in an accident while engaged in disaster relief activities in the Arananyake landslide area.

The CEB worker who died during the disaster relief activities in Arananyake on May 26, was a father of one. He met with accident while engaged in the power restoration process in the affected area.

The ministry will provide a permanent job to his wife within the next two weeks considering her educational qualifications.

The minister has also taken measures to provide Rs. 500,000 to his family to cover the funeral expenses. The CEB has also provided Rs. 300,000 to cover funeral costs.

The minister also instructed the authorities to take immediate measures to provide all other dues that he was entitled to receive.
