Locally made gun seized

A man possessing a locally made gun illegally was arrested by Wilgamuwa Police following a tip-off in Sulugune.

According to the public, poaching of wild animals is on the rise on a daily basis around Wasgamuwa National Park to provide flesh to tourist hotels.

The majority people who allegedly poach wild animals use locally made guns, according to the sources.

Wilgamuwa Police produced the suspect before the Naula Magistrate’s Court.
