Podi Sagara died of gun shot injuries: JMO

 Underworld gangster Manikkuge Sumith Dayaratne alias Podi Sagara died due to gun shot injuries, Kurunegala Teaching Hospital JMO Dr. Ajith Jayasena who performed the autopsy said.

Dayaratne allegedly involved in a number of murders, committed suicide by shooting himself during an operation launched by the Special Task Force and police in Kurunegala on April 20.

Dr. Jayasena presented the medical report to the Kurunegala Chief Magistrate Geetha Wijesinghe. The case was put for May 26.
