Air passenger fined for misbehaving

A passenger who misbehaved under the influence of liquor on board of a flight bound to Colombo from Paris was fined Rs.25,000 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya.

Airport Police filed a case against the passenger who was on board of UL 564 flight bound to Katunayake International Airport from Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris.

The suspect was arrested on April 9.

He was later released by court on two sureties.
