Galle-Matara rail track cleared

 The Galle-Matara rail track damaged due to the derailment of a Matara bound train at Minuwangoda on April 17 was restored by noon yesterday, Deputy Railway Operations Director V.S Polwattage said. He said over 80 officers were deployed to clear the tracks and repair the damaged signal system. All trains from Galle to Colombo are now operating on schedule.
