A Service of Thanksgiving for the life and work of veteran newspaper Editor Rex de Silva will be held at the Sacred Heart Church, Rajagiriya at 8.00 am tomorrow - his 75th birthday.
One of Sri Lanka’s leading gospel singers, Gerry Davey will lead the singing while personal and professional tribute to Rex will also be given.
Rex de Silva worked as the Editor-in-Chief of the Sun - Weekend group for about 25 years after which he worked as the Editor-in-Chief of the Borneo Bulletin. Here and abroad Rex moulded scores of journalists specially Sub Editors to reach the highest professional standards.
His wife Ranjani and family invite media colleagues, friends and others to participate in this Thanksgiving Service.
