National Chamber launches ‘Ayurveda Expo 2016’

 

Official launch of “AYURVEDA EXPO 2016 International Indigenous Healthcare Exhibition organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka will be held on March 24, 2016, at 3.30 p.m at Hilton Residences Union Place, Colombo – 2

Chief Guest for the Launch will be Faizal Cassim. Deputy Minister of Health,Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine. Additionally, head of Government, organizations from the indigenous Ayurveda Sector and distinguished guests will grace the occasion.

The Mega Exhibition conducted by the National Chamber of Commerce for the 6th time, is scheduled to be held on 8, 9 and 10 July 2016 at the BMICH Colombo, in association with the Ministry of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine, and other Government Institutions.

The objective of the exhibition is to promote the Sri Lankan Ayurveda system and healthcare practices locally and overseas and also to provide an opportunity for all relevant sectors, to promote their products and services, both locally and internationally.

The National Chamber expects to secure participation from local and foreign organizations, as well from the region, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Vietnam, Myanmar etc. A Medical Symposium will also be conducted parallel to the Exhibition where professionals, academics and researchers will present papers on traditional medicine.

Ayurveda Expo 2016 will focus on Manufacturers of Ayurveda/herbal, Nature friendly health foods and Beverages, Health resorts/spas,Ayurveda hospitals/clinics, educational institutions, Yoga, acupuncture, etc.
