Over 8,500 dengue cases reported in Jan. and Feb.

A total of 8,506 dengue patients had been reported from all parts of the country so far this year.

The highest number of dengue patients,(2,863) had been reported from the Colombo district, Epidemiology Unit sources said.

According to the sources, Gampaha and

Jaffna districts also reported a high number of dengue patients this year. Gampaha district recorded 981 dengue patients this year while Jaffna district recorded 825 dengue patients during the same period.
