Island Dairies received accolades at the Entrepreneur of the Year award at a ceremony organized by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL), received two Gold Awards.
The Awards were presented to the organization under the National level and Sabaragamuwa Provincial Medium Scale Industry category.
"With a history of 35 years in the industry, we have utilized our own fresh using modern technology and meeting all health standards and produced high quality milk products. Supplying highly nutritious products to our country, as a local company, we have joined hands with the people of our country and the milk farmers organizations in ensuring economic viability to our country and nation," said Sampath Liyanage, Managing Director of Island Dairies on receiving this great honour. Island Dairies has the distinction of having received the ISO 22000 :2005 certification in addition to HACCP and GMP certifications.
The company employs a dedicated team of qualified staff possessing Diploma holders in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry in addition to highly trained personnel having local and foreign exposure in the industry which is why Island Dairies has won the hearts and confidence of its customers.
