H-Connect wins Shared Services award

H-Connect Private Limited, a leading provider of Global Business Process management (BPM) services, was awarded the Bronze prize at the 2015 Shared Services Excellence Award for 'Best Team' by the Shared Services and Outsourcing Network (SSON), presented at the 18th Annual Asian Shared Services and Outsourcing Week in Singapore.

SSON's Excellence Awards represent annual achievements of the highest level for shared services operations around the globe. H-Connect was recognised for its outstanding shared services delivery for the Hirdaramani Group, one of the largest conglomerates in Sri Lanka's apparel industry.

H-Connect CEO Dilush Perera accepted the award on behalf of the company, before an audience of global business leaders from 40 different countries including Australia, Bangladesh, China, Denmark, France, Hong Kong,India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, UK and the US.

CEO Dilush Perera said "We are proud to have won this peer-reviewed, international industry accolade which shines a spotlight on Sri Lanka. We are delighted to win the Bronze award in the category for 'Best Shared Services Team' which is widely considered one of the most competitive categories.

We competed against some well-known brands from around the world such as DHL Express, Flextronics, McDonalds and SMRT Singapore. To have won from amongst this distinguished industry giants is a great demonstration of the hard work and dedication of the H-Connect Team to become a world-class shared services solutions provider."

Today, it is acknowledged as one of the fastest growing Finance and Accounting Outsourcing entities in Sri Lanka and is reputed for its wide client base spanning multiple countries.

Hirdaramani Group Director Akshay Hirdaramani said the decision of the Hirdaramani Group to make the transformation to a centralised finance and accounting system was a tall undertaking, given the diverse nature of our business. Our 100+ years of established processes, 20+ factories and multiple industry segments certainly did not make it an easy task for the H-Connect Team.

H-Connect currently employs 160 employees and is ISO 27001 certified. H-Connect plans to accommodate 200 employees by end of 2016 and in keeping with that goal, plans to move to a new state -of-the-art facility in the heart of Colombo.
