The government yesterday morning dispatched medicines to the Kandy Hospital to overcome the inconvenience caused by a shortage Cabinet Spokesman and Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne said.
He made this observation yesterday at the cabinet briefing held at the Information Department auditorium.
Minister Dr. Senaratne said that there is no shortage of medicines at the hospitals. Questioned by a media personnel that Parliamentarian Piyal Nishantha had told that there was a shortage of medicines in the hospitals in his area, Minister Senaratne said that Nishantha had no knowledge of medicines.
Justice and Buddhasasana Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, Mass Media and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Gayantha Karunathilake and Army Spokesman Brigadier Jayantha Jayaweera also spoke.
