Police search for son for father’s murder
Investigations are on to arrest a youth who is
alleged to have killed his father by attacking with a sharp tool.
The victim aged 62 is a resident of Moneragala and the suspect is
aged 25.

PS chairman entangled in brawl
Mawathagama Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) chairman and
three others taken into custody over a brawl in Mawathagama were
released on bail on Wednesday by the Mawathagama magistrate.
Meanwhile, Wattegama Police commenced a search operation to arrest
Wattegama Urban Council chairman over another incident of assault.
