Police seize fake notes

A suspect who attempted to purchase goods with a Rs 2,000 counterfeit note was remanded until July 18 by the Negombo magistrate.

The suspect, a resident of Amandoluwa, Seeduwa. was arrested by the Ja-Ela Police. Police also seized another two counterfeit notes, Rs 2, 000 each, in his possession.

Ja-Ela Police are investigating.
