Visit Lanka, see the progress, HC tells Brits
Sri Lankan High Commissioner to UK, Dr Chris Nonis called on people
in Britain to visit Sri Lanka and make an impartial and objective
analysis of contemporary Sri Lanka and the country's progress in the
past two years.
Dr Nonis highlighted the comprehensive rehabilitation, reconciliation
and reconstruction programmes in conflict - affected areas of the North
and East, as well as key developments in the South, which aim to achieve
an equitable and inclusive growth, so all communities may reap the
dividends of peace.
He was the guest speaker invited to address the Council of the Royal
Over-Seas League, London on Sri Lanka in the post-conflict era.
