Interruption to water supply

There will be an interruption to the water supply in the following areas in the Colombo city for 12 hours from 8 pm on Saturday, June 30 to 8 am on Sunday, July 1, to facilitate the connection of pipelines in the Mihindu Mawatha area in Pettah under the Colombo city pipeline re-laying project, said the National Water Supply and Drainage Board in a press release.

Areas affected are, Chatham Street, Mudalige Mawatha, Baron Jayatilleke Mawatha, Fort and all by roads, first Cross Street, Second Cross Street, Third Cross Street, Olcott Mawatha, Pettah and its byroads, Panchikawatta, a section of George R de Silva Mawatha from Sri Sumanatissa Mawatha junction to Maha Vidyala Mawatha junction, Sangharaja Mawatha, Old Moor Street, New Moor Street, Saunders Place Mihindu Mawatha, St Sebastian's Street and all connected byroads. Inconvenience caused to consumers is regretted, the release said.
