Property developers to handle Janasevana housing projects

Local property developers have agreed to carry out the construction of the Janasevana Housing projects, said a Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Ministry official.

He said the Ratmalana Kandalawatte, Homagama Mount Clifford, Homagama Jalthara Phase 2, Yakkala Siyane Uyana Phase 3, Ranpokunagama Phase 2, Yakkala Werellawatte, Kandy-Pallekele, Hanthana-Pathanawatte, Bandarawela Pathana and the Ratnapura Galkaduwatte housing projects will be constructed by property developers.

These housing projects would be constructed as single houses and flats, targeting a groups of public servants, private sector employees and the middle class community. The Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities Minister has requested the property developers to construct houses with high quality material. He had also requested them to take measures to provide bank loan facilities with less conditions for the people.
