SMS on water levels

The Sri Lanka Mahaweli Authority has drawn up a plan to introduce a Short Message Service (SMS) for the public to inform them about current water levels in reservoirs, Director General Gamini Rajakaruna said. He said the service is at research level at present.

Rajakaruna said the Authority is planning to establish a centre to provide data and about flood levels countrywide.
