NDB Group launches investment banking

Dawninga new era in the financial service industry, NDB Group yesterday launched full services investment banking operations with the re-launch of Capital Development and Investment Company PLC under a new corporate identity whilst being renamed as NDB Capital Holdings PLC.

NDB Investment Banking Cluster CEO Vajira Kulatilaka said that the company has a complementary business portfolios consisting of fee based investment banking, corporate advisory services, wealth management, stock brokering etc .

The advent of peace in the country has opened new vistas for entrepreneurs to play a vital role in the Sri Lanka's development process.

To achieve these targets, private sector needs huge quantum of money which can't be provided through traditional forms of bank borrowings and capital market will be able to play a leading role in channeling the required financing for the corporate sector. Most of our businesses are market leaders in their respective fields and the company is exploring strategic investments in the region that will complement the company's investment banking business.

With this initiative, NDB intends to achieve synergies and help to develop the capital market in Sri Lanka.
