The second day of the 50th Poson Mihinthale Aloka Pooja organised by the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd (ANCL) was held at the sacred city of Mihinthale yesterday.The 50th Aloka Pooja is organised under the guidance of Ven Walahahengunawewe Dhammaratana Nayake Thera and on the direction of ANCL Chairman and Managing Director Bandula Padmakumara.M/S Abans Ltd is sponsoring the Aloka Pooja for the seventh consecutive year at a cost of Rs 2.5 million. Here, Ministers Patali Champika Ranawaka, Lakshman Yapa Abeywardene, S.M.Chandrasena, Jagath Balasuriya and other dignitaries switching on the lights to illuminate Mihintale.
