Police seize huge explosives cache in North
The Police have found a haul of C4 and other
explosives from the general area Pudukudirippu and Iranamadu hidden
near an old LTTE bunker. The cache was found during a search
operation by the Vavuniya Police following information received.

Court orders diamonds allegedly stolen to be released
Colombo Chief Magistrate Rashmi Sengapulli
yesterday ordered a consignment of diamonds allegedly stolen from a
Greek entity to be released to the owners on the next hearing,
postponed for May 16. The magistrate further ordered that the bail
applications of the suspects could be considered on that day. Acting
on a complaint, the CID took into custody four suspects.
