'President's efforts precedent to world'
The honest effort made by President Mahinda Rajapaksa to foster world
peace is a good example to the world community, said World Buddhist
Congress Vice President Most Ven Ming Kuang Thera when the congress
delegation led by him visited the Samadhi Buddhist Centre at Kelettewa
during a tour of Anuradhapura yesterday.
The delegation visited the centre on the invitation of the director
of the centre Ven Rambukewela Pannasiha Thera.
Ven Kuang Thera said the President made a great sacrifice to restore
peace in Sri Lanka.
He is interested in bringing peace to the entire world. They were
surprised to see the gigantic development programmes initiated and
completed by the government.
They would take steps to inform the respective countries and their
people about the massive strides made by Sri Lanka under the tenure of
the President when they get back home.
