Four shops in the Puttalam district were completely gutted down following a fire last evening. Police are investigating the cause of the fire. An electrical shop, a textile shop, a studio and a hardware shop were gutted in the fire. No casualties were reported. The Coca Cola Beverages Company will be the official beverage sponsors at the Amadahara Vesak Zone organized by Lake House this year. The sponsorship cheque was handed over to Lake House Operations Director Upul Dissanayake by Coca Cola Beverages Special Events Manager Ranjith Edirisinghe at Lake House yesterday. Labour and Labour Relations Minister Gamini Lokuge opening the redeveloped Walawwatta First Lane, Boralesgamuwa which was paved with inter-locking concrete blocks under the One Project for Each Village programme.
