Pak - SL to enhance defence cooperation

A delegation of 18 members from the Pakistan National Defence University led by Brigadier Akhtar Jammil called on Navy Commander Vice Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake at the Naval Headquarters on Tuesday.

The delegation was accompanied by Pakistan Defence Advisor in Sri Lanka Colonel Sheharyar Parvez Butt. The delegation comprising senior officers of the Armed Forces and Civil Services of Pakistan and military officers are on a study tour in Sri Lanka to gain an overview of defence, economic, domestic and foreign policies, and explore areas of mutual interest for enhancing mutual cooperation in various spheres.

They held cordial discussions with the Navy Commander and participated in a presentation on the Sri Lanka Navy and its operations.

Mementos were also exchanged to mark this occasion.
