Accidental deaths revealed as double murder
The death of two youths in Bulathkohupitiya one
year ago, which the Police believed were accidental deaths, has
turned out to be a double murder. The new evidence unearthed
pointing to homicide was solely due to the ingenuity of the Police.
One of the suspect’s was arrested on Tuesday.

Temple toilets damaged in explosion
A row of toilets near the Sanghavasaya of the
Poorvarama Rajamaha viharaya in Matara was damaged in an explosion
in one of the toilets around 5 am yesterday. Two toilets had been
damaged in the explosion which dug a hole in the toilet where the
explosives were hidden.
