Supreme Mahanayake Thera of the Sri Lanka Amarpura Maha Sanga Sabha
Most Ven Davuldena Gnanissara Thera said that the international
community should assist the country’s development efforts in the
aftermath of the three decade conflict instead of making false
allegations.
The Mahanayaka Thera expressed these views after invoking blessings
on Water Supply and Drainage Minister Dinesh Gunawardana who celebrated
his 63th birthday at the Nugegoda Dharmaraja Meditation Centre on
Saturday.
“If any county has committed a mistake, it should be corrected. It is
the duty of the government also to act in a responsible manner to defeat
foreign conspiracies”, the Thera said.
“Everybody should get together to defeat international conspiracies
against the country”, the Thera said. Conspiracies being hatched by
certain quarters of the international community are not aimed at a
particular party or race. It is aimed at people of all communities” Most
