Divi Neguma third phase begins today
The house to house survey to mark the third phase of the Divi Neguma
national programme will commence today. It will continue until March 31,
Economic Development Additional Secretary R R A K Ranawaka said.
Four officers will form one group. One group will cover around 10
houses a day for the survey, the Secretary said.
The ministry has drawn up plans to collect details regarding the
agricultural sector and animal husbandry from each housing units
countrywide, Ranawaka said.
The Divi Neguma programme will commence on April 5. It will help
develop all agricultural sectors in this country which include
agriculture, livestock, fisheries and small scale enterprises. A dengue
eradication will be another major activity under the Divi Neguma
programme, Herath said.
