Piliyandala Central in first innings win

Piliyandala Central recorded a first innings win against kegalu Vidyalaya in their under-19 inter schools cricket encounter recently.

It was a brilliant team effort that kept the Piliyandala Boys’ hopes alive as three half centuries were included in their first innings. Gayanga Madushan (64), Harshaka Sandaruwan (56) and Senal Deelaka (90) were the best out of them.

In reply, Kegalu Vidyalaya scored 142 in the first innings with Lahiru Heshan taking 4 for 27 while Niroshan Dilhan captured 3 for 29. Following on, Kegalu Vidyalaya were 177 for 5 at close of play.
