Houses for disabled families

The Social Services Ministry acting on the initiative of Minister Felix Perera has taken steps to build 44 houses for the benefit of 44 selected disabled families from the 22 divisional secretariat divisions in the Anuradhapura distict concurrent to the Deyata Kirula 2012 Exhibition.

Each house will cost Rs 250,000 and the entire project will cost Rs 11 million, said a press release issued by the ministry. The ministry has spent Rs 34.4 million to build new houses for disabled families and repair existing houses last year.
