The government is annually spending around Rs.1,000 million to
provide meals for patients receiving treatment at hospitals. The Health
Ministry has taken measures to appoint a special committee to inspect
hospital kitchens preparing meals for these patients.
The ministry has taken this step due to complaints from the public.
Contractors manage hospital kitchens and they cook and provide meals
to the patients on instructions provided by the Health Ministry. |
