GMOA assures quality service

The Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) yesterday said that it is committed to provide a high quality service to members of the public.

The Association added that it will extend its fullest cooperation to promote a healthy lifestyle to the people by adopting modern technology. These views were expressed by the new GMOA office bearers when they met President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees yesterday.

The GMOA officials put forward their views and suggestions for the improvement of the health sector at the meeting.

The discussion also focused on the need of a well planned arrangement during accidents and epidemics.

President Rajapaksa commended the medical officers' services. It was also stressed the importance of implementing a national programme by the Ministries of Health and Education to uplift health among schoolchildren.
