Forty A'pura schools start today

The commencement of academic activities of 40 schools of the Anuradhapura district which are to be used for the Deyata Kirula National Development Exhibition and Independence day 2012 will start today, said North Central Province Chief Minister Berty Premalal Dissanayake.

Since these schools will be used for accommodation of security personnel next year, they will be closed during the exhibition period, the chief minister said.

The schools of Anuradhapura, ilachchiya and Nochchiyagama education zones will be opened today.

These schools were given the third term vacation on December 9.
