Maduka wins Amateur Fitness C’ship

Maduka Kanatapitiya of Muscletech Sports Club emerged champions at
the Amateur Fitness Competition 2011 organized by Sri Lanka Body
Building and Fitness Federation. B P M Basnayake of Power Tech Sports
Club was placed second while T N Udaya Kumara of Muscle Powers Sports
Club secured the third place.
The tournament was held at Colombo Town Hall recently in the presence
of the chief guest Sports Director General Ranjani Jayakody.
Sri Lanka Navy dominated the tourney by winning several weight
categories in which more than 200 competitors participated.
Results
Junior – below 70kg weight class: 1. A M Amila (Sri Lanka Army), 2. N
A R Sameera Prasad (Mirigama Barbell SC), 3. R M Mahesh Ratnayake (Leo
Gym SC).
Senior Division – 60kg weight class: 1. A D Nilanga Hewagama (Super
Barbell SC), 2. B A S Prasanna (Sri Lanka Navy), 3. D Wijetilleke (Power
Life Gym SC).
70kg: 1. T N Udaya Kumara (Muscle Power SC), 2. R M Amila Usantha
(Youth Services Council, Maharagama), 3. H A Roshan (Sri Lanka Navy).
80kg: 1. K B A K Ranatunga (Barbell SC, Mirigama), 2. K D H Upul
Nishantha (Sri Lanka Army), 3. W W K C Bandara (Sri Lanka Army).
Junior Division – above 70kg weight class: 1. S Arosh Udayanga
(Fitness Master Three SC).
65kg: 1. G B B Nanayakkara (Sri Lanka Navy), 2. W R Silva (Sri Lanka
Navy), 3. Suresh Niyaz (Super Barbell SC).
75kg: 1. Maduka Sameera Kahatapitiya (Muscle Tech Fitness Centre), 2.
T D S Kumara (Sri Lanka Navy), 3. W P Sangeeth Prasan (Powe Man SC,
Katana).
85kg: 1. S P G Lahiru (Sri Lanka Army), 2. D P Kariyawasam (Power Man
