Trinity and Mahamaya kids and junior champions
Upananda Jayasundera - Kandy sports special corr
The 12th kids and junior track and field meet organized by the Kandy
District Athletic Association was concluded at the Bogambara grounds,
Kandy recently.
Over 2,000 competitors participated in this two-day programme.
Officials headed by the President of the Association U G W Tennakoon and
Secretary Luxman Hapuarachchi along with other officials did a wonderful
job to finish this difficult task.
Trinity College and Mahamaya, Kandy won both kids and junior
championships. Galagedara Primary also joined Mahamaya collecting the
identical number of 47 points in the kids championship.
Chief Minister of Central Province, Sarath Ekanayake distributed the
awards.
