Growth dynamics in the Asia-Pacific region have
been impressive in the recent past and economic recovery has been
strong mainly supported by export-led growth. Exports have benefited
from the global investment cycle as well as strong demand from
emerging economies in both Asia and other regions said Central Bank

Mobitel introduces LG 3D Smartphone
Mobitel, the National Mobile Service Provider
launched the first 3D smartphone in the country in association with
Abans Lanka, sole distributor for LG mobile phones in Sri Lanka. A
ground breaking mobile unit, LG Optimus 3D is an innovative
smartphone with second generation duel core technology and an
advanced “Tri-Dual” architecture. The first of its kind to be
launched in Sri Lanka, Abans together with LG Electronics partnered
with Mobitel as the official network provider for the launch.

Fitch affirms DSI Holdings at ‘A-(lka)’
Fitch Ratings Lanka has affirmed Sri Lanka based
DSI Holdings Limited’s (DSIHL) National Long-Term rating at
‘A-(lka)’ with Stable Outlook. Its senior unsecured notes have also
been affirmed at ‘A-(lka)’.
