Missile targets Afghan president palace

A huge explosion has reportedly taken place near the presidential palace in Afghanistan’s capital city of Kabul, injuring at least three people.The incident occurred Sunday night when a missile was reportedly launched from an unidentified location, targeting the palace. The rocket attack was followed by gunfire, according to local reports. Other wire reports, however, have quoted Afghan officials as saying that some shots were heard from a compound used by the main US spy network, Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in Kabul.

US blame game self-defeating -Gillani

Levelling allegations against Pakistan would only benefit the militants:

The Pakistani prime minister has rejected US accusations that Islamabad has ties with a militant group that allegedly launched a recent attack on Western targets in the Afghan capital of Kabul.Yousaf Raza Gillani said on Saturday that such leveling such allegations against Pakistan would only benefit the militants, noting that American claim demonstrated that US policy in Afghanistan was in “disarray,” AFP reported.

Iran urges more G15 cooperation

To play an important role in international development:

Iran’s Foreign Minister says member states of the Group of 15 (G15), which make up one-third of the population of the world, must increase economic cooperation.To revive cooperation within the G15, Iran is planning two meetings on the ‘management of water resources’ and ‘renewable energies’…to increase cooperation,” Ali Akbar Salehi said on Sunday.
