UNP’s mayoral candidate left in the lurch

Senior Councillors belonging to the United National Party who are contesting the forthcoming Local Government elections to the Kandy Municipal Council have refused to go to the Malwathu and Asgiriya chapter Mahanayake Theras as a team led by former Diyawadana Nilame Neranjan Wijeratne who is believed to have been named the UNP mayoral candidate.
