Honour War Heroes always - governor

Uva Province Governor Nanda Mathew said it should be the duty of all to respect the fallen War Heroes and their family members. He was speaking at a ceremony to felicitate family members of fallen War Heroes in the Uva Province organized by the Ranaviru Seva Authority at the Uva Provincial Council auditorium.

Financial aid was handed over to 73 family members of war heroes. Scholarships were also presented to children of War Heroes who got through the Grade 5 scholarship exam.

Mathew said Uva Province Chief Minister Shashindra Rajapaksa has allocated funds to construct the new War Heroes monument in Badulla.
