Another 750 former combatants to be rehabilitated

Rehabilitation Commissioner General Brigadier Sudantha Ranasinghe stated that 750 former combatants who were rehabilitated at Pompamadu and Punethottam rehabilitation centers will be reintegrated into society at a ceremony that will be held at the Vavuniya Urban Council ground on June 05.

These former combatants have been given vocational training and education facilities to improve their skills and knowledge.

These rehabilitants are married and have children, he said.

A cricket carnival will also be held on June 04 to coincide with the event.
