Dilan given another term to steer VB
The Dilan Perera was elected unanimously as the President of the Sri
Lanka Volleyball Federation for the seventh successive year at its AGM
held on 31 March 2011 at the Olympic House.
The Chairman and the Director General of the National Youth Services
Council, Lalith Pium Perera and Member of Parliament Dilum Amunugama too
joined the volleyball administration for the first time when they
elected as Vice pesidents.
At the elections this year the highlight was the election five
Royalists, earlier it Royalists were sen playing dominant roles in the
fields of cricket and rugby administration which can be classed as an
encouraging move for the future of the national sport. The Royalists
elected for various positions are President Dilan Perera, Vice
Presidents; Air Commodore Rohan Pathirage, Lalith Pium Perera, Bandara
Herath and Ex-co member, Wing Commander Padman De Costa.
