Major tsunami hits Japan

Massive 8.9 earthquake - At least 32 dead :

JAPAN: A massive 8.8-magnitude earthquake shook Japan Friday, unleashing a powerful tsunami that sent ships crashing into the shore and carried cars through the streets of coastal towns.

EU report on Turkey biased

Turkey: Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has rebuked the European Parliament's report on the issue of detention of journalists in Turkey. He said that whoever has readied this biased report, which is far from objective, does not know Turkey. The wordings of this report do not reflect the press freedom in Turkey, Reuters quoted him as telling a news conference on Thursday.
