Threat on journalist:
Police to arrest UNP politicos
Polonnaruwa Police are planning to arrest several
UNP politicians who participated at the UNP Polonnaruwa Electoral
Organizing Committee Meeting Wednesday and threatened a newspaper
correspondent. According to the Police the correspondent had said
that he could identify the UNPers who threatened him.

Double murder:
Four suspects arrested
Elpitiya Police arrested four persons in
connection with a double murder. Police said the four were arrested
in connection with the double murder committed at Divipura Mananhena,
Thalagaspe last Sunday. The victims are Manoja Priyankara, (28) and
Chanaka Sampath (25) of Thalagaspe.
