Fire at joss stick factory

A fire which erupted in a joss stick factory in the Balagolla industrial estate was doused by the Balagolla Police with the assistance of the Fire Brigade yesterday morning. Police said an electrical short circuit had caused the fire. A stock of joss sticks and candles have been destroyed in the fire. Investigations are continuing.
