The Bible says so God created man in his own
image, in image of God created his own. Then who created the world,
man should not much wonder of the creation of the world. If man so
wonder of the creation of the world first he must explore the man or
God who created the Universes. Then question is who created the
universe and whose image in it. These questions are not end and it
find answer, answer becomes another question.

Reflections on Water-Haiku of Shree Padre
A reference to a Haiku poem in a recent article
provoked my friend Errol Alphonso to unearth a fascinating and
multi-layered gem from the vast storehouse that is his memory. He
spoke of the Haiku master Matsuo Basho, widely acknowledged as the
greatest poet of Japan’s Edo period in the 17th Century. I had never
heard of Basho. Errol said that in the year 1969, he had read how
Basho taught one of his pupils the art of Haiku as they walked among
black pepper vines.

Speech during Adjournment Motion:
Extension of Emergency Regulations
I am grateful for the opportunity to speak today
(February 24, 2011) on this Adjournment Motion regarding the
continuation of Emergency Regulations. The issue is an important
one, of concern to all of us and it is useful to discuss this in
practical terms, in a spirit of what I hope is reconciliation and
determination to work together for the betterment of all Sri Lankans.
