Passport impounded

Kesbewa Chief Magistrate Ayesha Jinasena directed Immigration and Emigration Controller and National Intelligence Bureau to prevent Kekundera Kankanamage Chandrasena of Station Road, Angulana from leaving the country as he is wanted in connection with a kidnapping case.

Chandrasena is a wanted suspect in connection with kidnapping a grand-niece of a Judicial officer in a conspiracy to fabricate false evidence against the Judge.

According to Piliyandala Police investigations the suspect had kidnapped the 17-year-old grand-niece of the Judge and wrongfully confined her in a location within the Piliyandala police area.

The suspect is alleged to have had a grudge against the Judge and fabricated false evidence against the Judge by using a female domestic aide and the grand-niece.
