President completes 40 years in politics
President Mahinda Rajapaksa completed 40 years in
politics yesterday. He entered the then National State Assemble as
the youngest member by winning his ancestral Beliatta constituency
for the United Front coalition at the May 27,1970 election.

Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa
yesterday stated that the government would provide all
infrastructure facilities to the North including Mannar that is
