Banks more security oriented
Banks in Sri Lanka must look at viable ventures
with the changing economic environment. There will be many
co-lateral opportunities with the end of the war, Risk Management
Associates, India, Managing Partner Prof. Satish Shinde said.
Regulatory measures introduced:
CB strengthens risk management systems
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has introduced
several regulatory measures to strengthen the risk management
systems in financial institutions. This includes licensed commercial
banks, registered fiance companies specialized leasing companies and
primary dealers in Government securities.
Lanka’s potential for renewable energy stressed
Sri Lanka has the capacity to produce and also
export renewable energy if it utilises its maximum capacity.
