Huge crowds expected
With peace reigning after the defeat of terrorism

sale. The biggest ever May Day rally organized by the United
People’s Freedom Alliance will be held at the Town Hall Grounds
tomorrow as there is a great enthusiasm among the constituent

after assuming duties officially yesterday, called on the Country’s
Media to uphold social responsibility. He said that the media should
act in a responsible manner, be impartial and accountable, as it was
an important player in shaping public opinion.

UNP bids to win over average voter
Drastic reforms including a change in the deputy
leadership of the UNP will be carried out shortly to make the party
