Carlton Super Sports Festival:

Dulshani and Menaka win marathon

W. P. Eranga Rakshila Dulshani of Debarawewa National School and H. Nadun Menaka of Ambalanthota MV clinched the boys and girls title respectively in the marathon event of the Fifth annual Carlton Super Sports Festival organised by the Tharunyata Hetak Youth Movement and worked off in Tissamaharama yesterday.

Street20 cricket introduced in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka Cricket yesterday teamed up with UNICEF, International Cricket Council, the Bureau of the Commissioner General for Rehabilitation, Ministry of Justice and Law Reforms, Ministry of Sports and Public Recreation and Cricket for Change to promote the spirit of cricket for children formerly associated with armed groups and other disadvantaged children.

Royal-Thomian clash for Mustangs Trophy

A close tussle can be expected when traditional rivals Royal College and S. Thomas’ College clash in their 35th limited over match for the Mustangs Trophy at SSC grounds at 9.45 a.m today. The Thomians have made one change from the team which played in the Big Match by bringing in Sachinda Liyanarachchi at the expense of Umesh Fernando while Royal are likely to include Madusha Rajaratne for today’s game.
