India on top of the world
India became the number one Test team on Sunday
after routing Sri Lanka by an innings and 24 runs in the third and
final cricket Test in Mumbai to clinch the series 2-0. Pace
spearhead Zaheer Khan took 5-72 as Sri Lanka, trailing by 333 runs
in the first innings, were shot out for 309 in their second knock 35
minutes into the fifth day’s play at the Brabourne stadium.

India, Sri Lanka captains clash on umpire reviews
Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara on Sunday
called for the umpires' review system to be made mandatory after
India defeated his side 2-0 in the Test series. But his Indian
counterpart Mahendra Singh Dhoni was not in favour of the umpires'
review system, saying it was not "100 percent fool-proof." India won
the third and final Test by an innings and 24 runs here on Sunday to
rise to the top of the International Cricket Council's official Test
rankings.

Championship:
Six new meet records set up on the final day
Six new meet records were established on the
final day of the fourth Kegalle District Open Masters Athletic
Championship concluded at Kegalle Public ground yesterday.
Altogether a total of 13 new records were set up at this meet which
was conducted by the Sri Lanka Athletic Association.
